A saree product page should answer what a buyer would otherwise ask in Messenger: how the saree looks when draped, what the anchal and border look like, the real colour, the fabric and weave, the length, whether a blouse piece is included, and how it is delivered and paid for. When those answers are on the page, more buyers order directly and fewer conversations end with “price?”.
Photos that show the whole saree
- The saree draped, on a model or a mannequin, so the buyer sees the fall.
- A close-up of the anchal (pallu) and the border, where most of the work is.
- A close-up of the body weave or buti.
- Photos in daylight, so maroon looks maroon. Say so if colour may vary slightly on screens.
- Each colour in its own photos. On a good store, tapping a colour switches the photo.
Fabric and weave, in plain words
Name the fabric the way buyers search for it: Dhakai jamdani, Tangail tant, cotton, katan, Rajshahi silk. Say honestly whether it is handloom or machine-made, how heavy or light it feels, and whether it is see-through. If you are not sure of a detail, ask your weaver or supplier rather than guessing.
Length, width and blouse piece
- The length, for example 12 haat (about 5.5 metres).
- Whether a blouse piece is included, and its length if it is.
- Whether fall and pico are done, or available for an extra charge.
Care
Write the care your supplier recommends for that fabric, such as dry clean only for silk and katan, or wash separately the first time for dyed cotton. Two lines are enough.
Stock, price and delivery
- Show the price on the page. Hiding it sends buyers to Messenger, and many do not come back.
- Many sarees are single pieces. Set the stock to 1 so the same saree cannot be sold twice.
- Cash on Delivery, bKash and Nagad, and the delivery charge inside and outside Dhaka.
- Your exchange rule for sarees, written before checkout.
Collections buyers look for
Group sarees by fabric and by occasion: Eid, Pohela Boishakh, wedding and bridal, office and daily wear. A buyer who arrives from a Facebook post can then see similar pieces instead of leaving after one.
See it on a working store
Our saree store template, a demo brand called Aanchal Atelier, shows these ideas in practice: shopping by fabric and occasion, colour swatches that switch the photo, Cash on Delivery and order on WhatsApp on every product page. The brand is a demo and its product photos are AI-generated, so use it to judge the layout, not the sarees. For the wider clothing checklist, see what a clothing website needs.
